January Favorites

I’m so happy to come to you with my favorites for the month of January which felt like it lasted forever. A good thing about this month however, was the fact that I got to try some new products some of which are definitely going into my staples stash.

SKIN CARE

I’ve been totally loving the superdrug Tea Tree Micellar Water which I received from one of my best friends.

This product claims; Superdrug Micellar Water is specially formulated with Tea Tree and Peppermint extracts, renowned for their natural purifying and cleansing properties, to help promote a clearer healthier-looking complexion. With a light formulation to gently cleanse away dirt ,impurities and excess oil, leaving skin feeling ultra-clean and refreshed.

I use this Micellar Water during the day after washing with my Topiclear Black Soap to restore the Ph of my skin. I absolutely love how moisturized this product leaves my face after using it.

The next skincare item that ive been loving is the Mason Natural Vitamin E cream. Ive been enjoying this rich cream at night to mosturize my face before bed. The product claims;

  • For dry or chapped skin
  • Rich, deep-moisturizing
  • Works instantly

Protection from minor skin conditions such as dry or chapped skin. This is a rich, deep-moisturizing cream that works instantly to provide all the natural benefits of vitamin E at a concentrated strength of 6000 IU per 2 oz.

Vitamin E  is both a nutrient and antioxidant, so is highly beneficial ingredient for the skin, especially when it’s combined with other antioxidants. I purchased mine at Jolly’s Pharmacy for $20EC.

Eyeliner is essential to my makeup routine as its companion mascara this is clear from my post  5 Essential Back to School/Work Makeup Tips #MelaninMonday.

Black radiance is a brand that I’ve always enjoyed for darker skin especially their contour products.  So it was no wonder I fell in love with the Black Radiance Contour kit. This is something that ive been looking at for a while now as many of my favorite Beauty Influencers have given great reviews on this product.
This product claims;

The specially designed magnetic compact features 3 silky-smooth powder shades that easily blend to enhance your features beautifully. HEALTH

homemade-protein-powder-recipe
So for 2017 I’ve begun going to the gym (yes ikr) but ive been loving it so far. A large part of going to the gym is replenishing your muscles after you work out and the easiest way to do this is with protein powder….unfortunatly with me being lactose intolerant and the main product of the powder being Whey I had to work arround it which led to me creating my own protein powder.
The Ingredients are ones i found on Pinterest of course, Oats, Peanuts, Sunflower Seeds, Chia Seeds, Flax Seeds, Hemp Seeds.
I love this combo so much and simply add any chocolate powder to it when i mix it for a smoothie (with almond milk) but take it plain in my oatmeal.

BOOKS

My final favorite for the month of February was Tiffany Haddish’s “The last Black Unicorn” Without giving anything away I will say that it was an amazing book. Tiffany is a brilliant comedian who went through so much in her life and always found a way to keep smiling. I definitely recommend.
That’s all for my January Favorites what were some of the products or items that you have been enjoying?
